About the Figarella Foundation

The Figarella Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to making ADHD understood — by the people who live with it, and by the people who love them.

We publish clear, carefully researched articles about how the ADHD brain actually works: why effort alone does not fix it, why time and emotion and attention behave differently, and what genuinely helps. Everything is original, written to the standard of an encyclopedia, and free.

Who this is for

For the adult who just discovered, at forty, why life always felt harder than it should. For the parent staring at a diagnosis and not knowing where to start. For the teenager who has been told to “just try harder” one too many times. For the teacher, the sibling, the doctor, the friend — anyone who wants to understand.

How we work

We follow Wikipedia’s spirit: a neutral point of view, an impartial tone, and facts supported by evidence. We take no advertising and sell nothing. None of what we publish is medical advice — for diagnosis and treatment, see a qualified health professional.

Add your voice

This site grows through the people who live ADHD from the inside. If you are a person with ADHD, a parent, a sibling, a teacher, or a professional, we would be honored to read your story.

How this site is made

These pages are built and kept running with the help of Claude, the AI made by Anthropic — which assists with the research, the writing, the translation into three languages, and the technical work behind the scenes. The mission, the voice, and every final decision remain the family’s.
